You get this amazing opportunity and idea to start a business and you want to create the time and financial freedom you’ve been dreaming about.

A mindset block, a limiting belief happens to you … and smacks you in the face, knocks you down, and leaves you feeling stuck … and overwhelmed … and stressed.

This is exactly where so many entrepreneurs throw up their hands and walk away … OR … they just try to push through it to get to the other side. 

Neither of those options is helpful … and neither is giving them the long term benefits they want for their business, or themselves. 

I speak from personal experience on this one. True and very dark experience of mindset blocks and limiting beliefs that held me back, kept me small, and didn’t allow me to reach my goals. 

I “let” it happen to me for so long … but then I found a way to get through them and come out on top of that mountain. I wasn’t surviving anymore … I was thriving.

Not very many entrepreneurs, if any at all, “want” to work on mindset. In fact, many of my clients turn their noses up when we start focusing on this as part of our coaching sessions. 

I get that thought process because, I mean, who really wants to go into those places in the first place? 

But … I’ll tell ya this … that light is SO much brighter at the other end of that tunnel once you get through it and it helps you get the results you want in your business… Even Faster!

I’m going to give you 3 ways to bust your own mindset blocks so you can achieve the results you want in your business.

1 – Identify Your Current Mindset

The mind is a crazy complex web of a place. We often have no idea what we’re actually thinking at times. We have hundreds and thousands of thoughts racing through our heads all day long. 

In order to identify your current mindset you have to bring awareness to those thoughts, many of them subconscious thoughts, and start really paying attention to those thoughts that keep repeating themselves to you.

Some simple ways you can start to identify these subconscious thoughts include Journaling and Meditation. 

This brings awareness to your group and tells people how it will specifically help them if they choose to join your Facebook group.

These are two ways to quiet your conscious mind so you can actually take the time to listen to what is really being said. 

The reason this is so important is because your subconscious thoughts actually control 95% of what you do during the day!!!

That’s crazy! 95%! 

That means that you’re only consciously making decisions 5% of the time … and 95% of the time that was actually driven by your subconscious!

For your entire life you’ve allowed your subconscious mind to control your life. 

This is your chance to take back that control so you can put your life on the path you want to be on, achieving the goals you dream of.

2 – Set Boundaries

Once you’re a bit more clear on what your subconscious is telling you, you’ll want to start feeding your brain with more inspiration, powerful, relatable, and incredible feedback. 

The first step to doing this is setting boundaries.

If you’ve never set boundaries before then this may seem super foreign to you, and you may feel weird doing it. 

Your closest friends and family may even question why you’ve changed so much because you’ve “never been this way” before. 

All of that is normal and okay. 

Noone really likes change, not even for ourselves. 

But once you start making these boundaries a habit, then they’ll come so natural for you that setting even more boundaries is a walk in the park!

So, How do you start setting boundaries?

First of all, start by taking out your calendar … yeah, the one you have loaded up with a massive to-do list taking care of other people (I see you) and schedule YOU TIME every week. 

This time you schedule is NON-NEGOTIABLE. 

Put it there in PEN or block the cell on your digital calendar so it CAN NOT MOVE! 

Once you schedule it, it’s there … forever!

Trust me, stick with this. 

YOU TIME can be as little as 10 minutes to as long as all day, whatever you want, whatever you NEED. 

Schedule this every week.

Then, and only then, can you add other things into your schedule. 

I know, I know … super strict! … You can thank me later. 

Here’s the thing… YOU are important. Nothing in your life would happen if it wasn’t for YOU. If you’re not taking care of you (consistently) then you actually end up with nothing to give others. 

The second boundary you should set is cutting out toxic, negative people from your life. 

This means removing them from your social media, not answering their phone calls, and not hanging out with them. 

If the toxic, negative people are your family this may be a bit more difficult to accomplish but I promise you it is possible … and it is worth it!

3 – Do More Good

Doing nice things for others is so uplifting for us (selfish) and for them (unselfish). Go out and do good things for people for both reasons. 

It’s okay to be selfish here!

Here’s what I mean …

When you do something nice for someone else, it makes that other person feel good. But, it also makes you feel good, too, right? 

And, as a domino effect, if someone else sees you or hears of you doing something nice for someone else then it also makes them feel good! 

Pretty cool, don’t ya think?

But there are some people doing nice things and then expecting something in return … You can’t do that. 

Doing nice things WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS is what shifts your mindset…. And doing nice things for STRANGERS makes this way more powerful.

Imagine the possibilities of all the busting up of mindset blocks and limiting beliefs you can do!

Mindset Block Busting – Wrap Up

I have found spending the time to go deep into the mud … way deep into those things we’re telling ourselves helps to open doors for new opportunities to come to us. 

But … once you start working on the mindset and busting the blocks, you’ll get addicted to the benefits it brings you and your business.
