What Is A Funnel?

Maybe you’ve heard the word before or maybe you haven’t. You may have made your own funnel, or lots of them, or maybe you haven’t.

I always like to start from the beginning because different people are at different stages of their learning process. Congratulations to anyone who is looking to grow and expand their knowledge base so you can grow your business. When more people are doing that then that means more people’s lives are impacted. That’s what makes the world a better place!

A funnel is your sales system.

You set your funnel up based on what problem you’re helping people solve.

If you have a health and wellness product then you create a funnel that helps people solve a specific problem in health and wellness. Maybe that’s a meal plan, or a supplement to take, or an exercise plan, or a combination of all of that.

What if you’re a realtor? Then you create a funnel that helps people connect with the resources they need to buy or sell a home. Maybe that’s a checklist of what to look for when purchasing a new home, what contractors or vendors they should talk to, what upgrades to make before they sell, or a combination of any of that.

How about if you’re a chiropractor? Simply create a funnel that helps people feel better. Maybe it’s a list of back exercises or neck stretches to do, or a step by step guide on how to set up their office to take strain off their back, or a free consultation with you.

You see … all businesses need funnels.

The funnel beginning is bringing more leads to your list. This is a way to add more contacts for you to follow up, more contacts to look at your product, service, or opportunity.

Understand that 97% of people do NOT purchase on the first connection.

Yes, you read that right … only 3% of people will be ready to buy right away.

So, how are you following up with those other 97%?

And how are you making it such a fun experience for the 3% that they keep coming back?

It’s easier to sell to someone who has connected with you and built a relationship with you, whether they meet you in person or not than it is to keep finding new cold prospects to talk to.

How Do You Create A Funnel?

There are a lot of ways to create funnels… it just depends on how much time you want to dedicate to it or how “techy” you feel you are.

I recommend two ways to create your funnels.

Using A Funnel Theme In Your Business

If you have a website through WordPress already then adding this theme to your site will add in all kinds of bonuses you can play with.

It has lead pages, opt in pages, sales pages, and all the pieces to a funnel you need to build one through.

It also has the ability to add courses and a membership option to your page.

Why Do I Have Both Funnel Systems?

I mentioned earlier that I use both of these, the software and the theme … so why would I do that?

Well, the software is super easy to use. I took all their training and learned about the process, the steps, and how to build it all out. I used this book and this book to learn all these steps (you can grab both of those books for free through those links, just pay shipping!)

So, if that was working so well for me, why did I add the theme option?


I already had a WordPress site for my blog so it made sense to me to add the theme so I could grab all the extras for my site.

This allowed me the ability to add additional funnels (to funnel more money into my business). It’s how I also add on extras to my site so my customers and prospects could easily get more value from me!

Incorporating The Two…

Bringing the two together was actually super simple.

Once I had them both set up I just linked the software to my theme-boosted WordPress site.

When someone goes to certain sections of my website, they’ll go through different funnels. Some of those funnels are through the software program and some are through my theme.

I just get to track them along their journey and help get the right information to the people who want it.

This means I’m helping more people the way they want to be helped…

… and my sales boost …

… which allows me to keep helping more people.
